Henning Petersen, Norway Sales Manager

What is your name and job title?
I’m Henning Petersen, and I’ve recently joined the Pipetech team in Norway as Norwegian Sales Manager.

Can you outline your experience prior to joining Pipetech?

Before joining Pipetech, I spent seven and a half years with ICR, where I held roles including General Manager and Sales Manager. Throughout my career, I have focused on business development, sales leadership, client relationship management, and supporting customers with technical solutions.

This experience has given me a strong understanding of the Norwegian energy sector and the importance of delivering reliable, high-quality services to clients.

What attracted you to joining Pipetech?

I was attracted to Pipetech because it offered a new challenge and the opportunity to focus more closely on sales and direct client engagement. Having spent many years in management roles, I was eager to spend more time working with customers, understanding their challenges, and helping them find effective solutions.

Pipetech’s innovative technology, strong reputation, and Norwegian heritage made the opportunity particularly appealing.

What are the main responsibilities and priorities of your new role?

My primary responsibilities are to support both new and existing customers throughout Norway, identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and drive sales growth. A key priority is to work closely with clients to understand their project requirements and demonstrate how Pipetech’s technologies can help improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and deliver value.

Building strong customer relationships and increasing awareness of our capabilities in the Norwegian market are also important objectives.

How do you plan to use your experience to achieve these priorities?

I plan to utilise my experience in sales, business development, and customer relationship management to build strong partnerships with clients across Norway.

Regular customer visits, technology demonstrations, participation in industry exhibitions, and ongoing engagement with operators and service companies will be important parts of my approach. My industry knowledge and network will help me identify opportunities and support customers in finding the best solutions for their operational challenges.

How is the Norwegian market different compared to other locations in which Pipetech operates?

The Norwegian market is highly active and places a strong emphasis on operational efficiency, safety, and minimising downtime. Operators expect rapid response times and reliable project execution.

Pipetech is well positioned to meet these expectations through its innovative technologies, experienced personnel, and proven ability to deliver effective solutions that help customers maximise uptime and maintain production. As a company with Norwegian roots, Pipetech also has a strong understanding of the local market and customer requirements.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role? Is there a specific technology or solution you’re excited to learn about?

I am most looking forward to spending more time working directly with customers and helping them solve operational challenges using Pipetech’s industry-leading technologies. It is rewarding to be involved in projects where we can deliver measurable value and efficiency improvements.

I am also excited to learn more about Pipetech’s latest technology developments, particularly the DSR solution, which has the potential to provide significant benefits for customers and further strengthen our offering in the market.
